Google Summer of Code - 2025
I enhanced Tor’s relay partition analysis by developing a comprehensive graph analysis engine in Rust and Neo4j. My project identified isolated relay groups, classified partitions by attributes like country or ASN, and delivered centrality metrics to spotlight critical nodes for network resilience.
GSoC: a program sponsored by Google where developers from all over the world (<10% Acceptance rate) compete to contribute to Open-Source orgs.
Integrating more than 8,500 relays, I created over 15 RESTful API endpoints with Actix Web, and built an interactive D3.js dashboard that visualized network partitions and their evolution in real time.
Through aggressive optimization, I reduced redundant data by 40% and achieved a classification coverage of 99.9%. These improvements enabled the Tor team to quickly diagnose weak points, monitor health trends, and proactively strengthen the privacy guarantees for millions of users relying on the global Tor network.
